Linda Tannenbaum helps to educate medical professionals in South Africa

Linda Tannenbaum, OMF CEO/President, joined ME/CFS Foundation South Africa to help educate healthcare professionals in South Africa at a screening of the award-winning documentary, Unrest. On February 28th, the ME/CFS Foundation South Africa welcomed over 160 guests, 60 of them from the healthcare field including medical doctors, psychiatrists, psychologists, physiotherapists, nurses, occupational therapists, and neurologists. The program started with an oncologist, who is an ME/CFS patient herself. Then, following the screening of Unrest, there was a Q&A with Linda via skype as well as a professor of physiotherapy and the oncologist.

OMF South African Ambassador Retha Viviers reports, “We are making history in South Africa tonight as it will be the first time ever that so many medical practitioners will attend a meeting on ME/CFS.”  (Event photos below – click photos to expand)
